The Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Alamosa is a nonprofit home improvement store and donation center. Habitat for Humanity also helps people in need of decent, affordable housing. Adults can apply for homeownership with their local Habitat for Humanity although the process can take more than a year to complete. The local Habitat’s family selection committee selects homeowners based on the applicant’s level of need, their willingness to partner with Habitat and their ability to repay a mortgage through an affordable payment plan. Habitat’s homebuyers invest hundreds of hours of their own labor alongside volunteers and other Habitat homeowners. Neither race nor religion are factors in choosing Habitat’s homeowners.
Our Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Alamosa is a nonprofit home improvement store and donation center that sells to the public at a fraction of the retail price. Profits from the Restore in Alamosa fund our affordable housing program and sells new and gently used furniture, home accessories, building materials and appliances to the public. If you have items you would like to donate please first call the Habitat Store (719) 589-8688 or email us. Contact us if you would like to volunteer.
