PALS Childrens Program (Positive Activities Lead to Success) – La Puente

The Positive Activities Lead to Success (PALS) Children’s Program is a licensed after-school and summer program for children in kindergarten through fifth grade who have high social-emotional needs. We provide a nurturing and exploratory environment. The program is tailored to the needs and interests of each child. PALS is designed to empower children by strengthening their sense of self, connecting to family and engagement with their community. Through creative activities and enriching experiences, PALS encourages personal growth, self expression and resilience. PALS offers family support in the form of goal-setting,  educational opportunities for families, and collaboration with community organizations. PALS graduates can apply to support the program by mentoring, attending field trips and engaging in community service.

Children are accepted into the PALS program on a referral basis. These referrals can come from the Adelante program, the shelter, doctor’s offices, parole agents, counselors, the Alamosa County Department of Human Services and others. See referral link below. Child must be in kindergarten through 5th grade.

Most students come from the Alamosa area, but all students are welcome.
