South Central Colorado Seniors, Inc. is the Area Agency on Aging for Region 8. As an Area Agency on Aging, we respond to the needs of older adults and their family caregivers in the communities we serve. We coordinate low-cost comprehensive quality care by helping older (60+) and their families navigate the complex system of services. We serve people in Alamosa, Conejos, Costilla, Mineral, Rio Grande and Saguache Counties. Services include nutrition, caregiver support, material aid (eye glasses, walkers, etc.) SHIP, homemaker services, care management, information, assistance and referrals and a Long Term Care ombudsman (advocate for residents in long-term care facilities, assisted living centers and swing beds).
