SafeCare Program for New Parents- San Luis Valley Behavioral Health Group (SLVBHG)

Being a parent is exciting, but it can also be stressful. No one has to do it alone!

SafeCare® Colorado helps parents and caregivers by giving them tools, information, and support to make parenting easier, less stressful, and more fun.

SafeCare® Colorado providers meet with families once a week, either at home or online. They work together with parents to build on the skills they already have and help them learn new ones. The goal is to help children stay safe, healthy, and happy.

SafeCare® Colorado is a voluntary program for parents of children age five and under who want extra support.

SafeCare® Colorado focuses on three main topics:

Home Safety: Learn how to find and fix dangers in the home.
Child Health: Learn what to do when a child is sick or hurt.
Parent-Child Relationship: Learn how to encourage good behavior and reduce difficult behavior.
