Development Resource Group (SLVDRG)

We promote and facilitate Economic and Community Development Programs which will create jobs, improve income and maintain the quality of life in the San Luis Valley. SLVDRG is the recognized by Colorado’s Department of Local Affairs as the planning agency for State Planning Region 8 (the SLV). We convene the SLV Council of Governments. DEMOGRAPHIC INFO: Check the website under Programs for the Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy, Regional Broadband Strategic Plan, Community Needs Assessment, demographics/ statistical profile, Opportunity Zone/Enterprise Zone information, Targeted industries, Economic Impact studies. SLVDRG serves as the coordinating agency for the San Luis Valley Transportation Planning Region. The San Luis Valley Business Loan Fund provides financing for business expansion, retention, and start-ups. Businesses must be able to provide or retain permanent full time equivalent jobs, filling 60% of the positions with low-moderate income persons.
